Collection: Higonokami
The Higonokami knife, first crafted in the 1880s in Miki City, Japan, has a rich history of handmade craftsmanship. In 1894, Shigematsu Tasaburo improved the design by adding a "chikiri" (tail) for portability, which helped it gain popularity in southern Kyushu. Over the years, the knife evolved in both design and function, becoming a beloved tool. Today, only Nagao Kanekoma Seisakusho is authorized to use the Higonokami name, maintaining the tradition of quality craftsmanship.
